Although students are only beginning to understand concepts around them, it is my responsibly to promote higher learning – to continue a love for the world outside the classroom. That is why I try to help give students the tools they need to acquire knowledge. We have moved into our poetry unit, and learning about the elements of poetry – form, sounds, imagery, figurative language, and theme – presents an opportunity for true creativity when analyzing their meaning. Together, we will write several poems of different styles and publish them in an illustrated, classroom book! |
