My job to the community is to prepare a classroom of students who are responsible citizens, aware of community resources and ready to make a positive contribution to society. My class’ favorite project is our ongoing island project. Each student designed his or her own island, including creating a flag, topographical map (from clay) and writing a story about its history. We use these islands throughout the year to tie in Social Studies and Science concepts. It is a true reward knowing my job has made an impact on these children’s lives. |
