I feel every child is an individual and my hope is to take my students to their potential in their daily assignments. I want to allow every child to grow and to be the best he or she can be, meeting his or her personal best in all they do. When we study rocks and fossils, I let the children take toothpicks and “excavate” their own chocolate chip cookie, pulling apart any “fossils.” We all enjoy discussing our findings and eating the cookies, of course!
