I believe that every child learns differently therefore, I use a variety of teaching techniques and strategies in my classroom to meet the needs of all the children in my class. I like the children to be actively involved so I have them use their fingers a lot to respond to questions, buddy buzz with a neighbor, use slates, just to name a few. I find that the more involved the children are the better they retain the information that they learn. We do many fun and interesting things in second grade from shark reports to fieldtrips to reading buddies. No two days are ever the same which is why I love teaching! |
