The first full week in May is nationally designated as Teacher Appreciation Week. Of course, we think the wonderful teachers who do so much for our students should be acknowledged every week! Even so, May 4-8 is a great time to show your child\u2019s teacher how much you appreciate what they do every day.<\/p>\n

You might worry about how to show your appreciation. Most teachers would tell you that what they value most is a sincere note recognizing the impact they have on a child\u2019s learning. They especially enjoy anecdotes about a specific event or \u201clesson\u201d learned, or details about their relationship with a student. Those \u201c#1 Teacher\u201d coffee mugs are appreciated too, but a heartfelt note of thanks is a truly personal gesture that will likely be kept and revisited for years.<\/p>\n
We encourage you to write a few lines, or drop by the classroom to say a word of thanks in person. Everyone likes to be noticed for a job well done. Let your student\u2019s teacher know that their efforts don\u2019t go unnoticed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
