However, produce intake can be difficult when kids are picky eaters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite the ongoing battle to ensure your child is receiving a well-balanced diet,<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/healthy-lifestyle\/childrens-health\/in-depth\/childrens-health\/art-20044948\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nutrition<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> doesn\u2019t have to be a dreaded topic in your household. The vibrant colors of red and orange peppers, green broccoli, yellow corn, and purple onions will entertain your family as they bite through each colorful section.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Veggie Go-Gurt \u2013 Pre-packaged and store-bought yogurt contains sweeteners, preservatives, and artificial dyes. Make a healthy and sweet snack for your family with homemade<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.freebiefindingmom.com\/healthy-fun-snacks-for-kids-homemade-go-gurt-with-hidden-veggies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">go-gurt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Choose a fruit or vegetable and give your child clues on the mystery produce item. You can both have fun and learn about healthy foods together.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Mini-Chefs<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Picky Pickers \u2013 Go<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.parenting.com\/article\/picky-eaters-into-foodies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grocery shopping<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with your kids and let them be in charge of the healthier aspects you wish to encourage. Ask them to find the best tomatoes or kale, and motivate them to choose the vegetables that are tasty to them. Having kids be involved with food shopping will let them feel as if they have ownership over the meal, and they will be more likely to eat their food.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gardening \u2013 Bring excitement to vegetables by allowing kids to have their own<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.100daysofrealfood.com\/7-ways-get-kids-eat-vegetables\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">garden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Ask them what type of greens they would be interested in planting and let them grow their own produce.
