Love of Reading Week

Our schoolwide Love of Reading Week will be Feb. 4-8. We like to fill this special week with fun reading activities, guest readers (parents and guardians interesting in reading to a class should call the front office to set a time), our annual door decorating contest, etc., in hopes of bringing the joy of reading to our students. Our daily themes are:

• Monday: Bookmarks! Every student will get a bookmark.
• Tuesday: Door Decorating Contest.
• Wednesday: Dress as your favorite book character (free Dress Down Day!).
• Thursday: Schoolwide D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) 8:30-8:45 a.m. (right after announcements). We’d like everyone to be reading—all students and staff.
• Friday: Every student gets a book! We’ll be distributing one new book to every student.
