Summer is almost here, and right about now parents are starting to wonder about the best way to keep kids active, entertained, and productive while school’s out. La Paloma Academy Summer Camp will once again offer an 8-week program to keep kids in grades K through 8 learning and having fun.

La Paloma Academy Summer Camp runs from May 26 through July 17, Lakeside campus, 8140 E. Golf Links Road. The program features daily activities, weekly themes, arts & crafts, sports (basketball, volleyball and swimming), music & movement, and academic enrichment.

“Studies show students can lose some of what they’ve learned during the school year over the summer break,” said Jackie Trujillo-Watins, superintendent of La Paloma Academy, which has three Tucson campuses. “That’s why we include academic instruction along with sports, arts & crafts and field trips during our eight-week summer camp…to keep kids’ minds active, too.”

The cost for La Paloma’s summer camp is $130 per week, which includes breakfast, lunch, daily snacks, and two weekly field trips. La Paloma Summer Camp is approved by the Department of Economic Security (DES). There is a one-time registration fee of $30 per family. Families enrolled by May 5, save $10 per each pre-paid week.
