LPA Lakeside is hosting Kindness Week, beginning January 22. It kicks off with a Kindness Checklist Challenge that will have acts of kindness for students to complete during the week. Each day presents a new challenge for students to be kind, so everyone get together this week and show kindness to others in your own unique way.

Tuesday, January 23nd

Kindness Checklist Challenge, Day 2: Grade-appropriate checklists will be passed out to students. Each checklist will have acts of kindness for students to complete, and when they do, they should turn them into Mrs. Harris’ office.

Wednesday, January 24rd

Kindness card exchange, Day 3: Classroom teachers, if they choose, will have students in classes make a card from someone who has done something nice for them. Mrs. Harris will also have a station set up during lunch for students to write cards as well. Emoji erasers will also be sold for students to give as gifts.

Thursday, January 25th

Kindness Tree, Day 4: Students will be writing on hearts about kind things others have done for them. Also, peer voting will take place for students in each grade level who best represents kindness. In MPR during lunch with Mrs. Harris, every teacher will also select one student in their class who best represents kindness.

Friday, January 26th

The Kindness awards, Day 5: One student from each class who demonstrates the very essence of kindness will be nominated by teachers, one nomination per grade level! Peers will vote for one student who best represents kindness. Mrs. Harris will present the winners with an award and a kindness bracelet.Â
